For 20 years Tim and Viv's family have been coming to beautiful Matapouri for long summer holidays, for school holidays and for weekends away over winter. "With busy city lives this was our sanity and real family time place. Here we had time to reconnect, play together and socialise with our wonderful Matapouri Beach friends." Days spent swimming, surfing, out on the kayaks, launching the boat to go fishing or exploring the coastline, cycling the many bays on this beautiful coast and sometimes, just stretched out with a good book or doing nothing at all. It's been the perfect beach house. Thoughtfully designed by Tim, both he and Viv have put their heart and soul into this four bedroom, plus separate bunkhouse/studio home. As ultra modern and fabulous today as it was when first built this must be one of the most beautiful and functional homes out there. Multiple living areas open to the inviting outdoor entertaining area and spill across the safe and sheltered lawn, its like an oasis, a world within a world. Totally private, many wonderful long evenings have been spent with friends and family, dining alfresco, and whiling away time just enjoying one another's company. Set in a quiet no exit street you are far from the traffic and yet close to the beach and close to the local store.
Matapouri enjoys a strong local community spirit and both it and the Tutukaka Coast are well serviced for all your needs.
